Research Interest: 

Translational research in sickle cell disease; identifying pharmacological strategies to ameliorate heme induced disease vasculopathy and organ injury. Currently working on using therapeutic agents of endogenous origin or natural sources to activate a multisystem anti-inflammatory, antioxidant defense against heme toxicity in transgenic humanized sickle cell mice models.
