Over 800 fresh students gathered at Trinity Hall on Tuesday, 14th April 2026, for an engaging and insightful Student Experience Conference with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Dartey-Baah—an important engagement designed to foster open dialogue and strengthen the connection between University leadership and the student body.

The interactive session provided a unique platform for students to share their early experiences on campus, raise concerns, and seek clarity on various aspects of university life. Leading the engagement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Dartey-Baah, demonstrated a strong commitment to student-centered leadership by addressing a wide range of questions and comments with candour and insight. His responses not only clarified institutional processes and expectations but also reassured students of Management’s dedication to creating a supportive and enabling academic environment.

Beyond addressing concerns, the Vice-Chancellor offered practical guidance on how students can make the most of their time at the University. He encouraged them to remain disciplined, proactive, and purpose-driven, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence, personal development, and active participation in campus life. His remarks were interspersed with thoughtful “nuggets” aimed at equipping students with the mindset needed to thrive both academically and socially.

Supporting the Vice-Chancellor during the session were the Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Adelaide Kastner, and the SRC President, Patrick Bills Nartey Afutu. Together, they provided additional perspectives and responses to student inquiries, reinforcing the collaborative approach taken by University leadership in addressing student needs and enhancing the overall student experience.

The Student Experience Conference forms part of the University’s broader efforts to ensure that students feel heard, supported, and empowered from the onset of their academic journey. By creating such interactive platforms, the University continues to promote a culture of openness, inclusivity, and continuous improvement in the delivery of student services.

As the new cohort settles into campus life, engagements of this nature are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping a positive and enriching university experience for all students.
