Students are hereby informed that the Executive Committee of the Academic Board has approved a two-year amnesty for students whose studentship has elapsed.

The amnesty will be in effect for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic years and is intended to provide eligible students with the opportunity to complete outstanding academic requirements, subject to the following conditions:

  1. Eligibility
The amnesty applies to students admitted from the 2009/2010 academic year onwards whose studentship has expired.
  2. Completion of Outstanding Courses
    • Students who did not complete courses within an academic year will be required to return and retake those courses.
    • Students who previously failed courses will be required to resit the examinations.
  1. Amnesty Fee Requirement
Students granted amnesty will be required to pay the equivalent of one year’s tuition fee applicable to their programme of study.
  2. Settlement of Fee Arrears
All outstanding fee arrears must be fully settled without penalties, in addition to the one-year tuition fee, before the amnesty can be granted.
  3. Resit Examinations
Examinations for failed courses during the amnesty period will be conducted within the designated resit periods (March and July). Students are strongly advised to take full advantage of these opportunities.
  4. Retaking of Incomplete Semesters/Academic Years
Students whose studentship expired before completing a semester or academic year will be required to return to fully retake the affected period. This includes:
    • Re-enrolment in the relevant semester or academic year
    • Payment of applicable fees
    • Course registration
    • Attendance of lectures
    • Completion of assignments
    • Participation in both mid-semester and end-of-semester examinations
  5. Application Procedure
Interested students must submit a formal application to the Director, Academic Affairs and Student Services. The application should be delivered to the Academic Directorate at the Miotso campus, or a signed copy should be scanned and emailed to “Academic and Student Services Directorate” academicaffairs@central.edu.gh
