Student Life

It is with great pride and anticipation that we welcome you to Central University. You are joining a community that values curiosity, growth, and collaboration. This marks the beginning of a transformative journey that will challenge your intellect, broaden your perspective, and equip you to make meaningful contributions to society.

You are now part of a tradition built on faith, integrity, and excellence. We encourage you to engage fully in your academic and social experiences while building relationships that will support your personal and professional growth.

Students are to note that the Dean of Students and Alumni Affairs office;

  • coordinates health services, financial aid, housing/residential life and social programmes of students.
  • serves as a liaison between Management and student organizations, such as the SRC, clubs and associations and coordinates the management and affairs of such student organizations through the Student Affairs Committee.
  • serves as a point of contact for students who wish to raise issues of harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct within the context of academic and student life.

All student activities are regulated by the University through the office of the Dean of Students and the Student Affairs Committee, which has the authority to determine various matters, including student activities, budgets and bylaws.

Students are free to form Associations; however, no association or student body shall be formed without prior written approval by the Vice-Chancellor.

Application to form an association shall be made to the Vice-Chancellor through the Dean of Students, detailing the promoters, proposed name, functions and purpose, draft constitution and any other details relevant to the association.

Students are advised that, in all matters relating to academic, welfare, disciplinary, or interpersonal issues, the appropriate University offices and internal mechanisms must first be engaged. These include, but are not limited to, the Office of the Dean of Students and Alumni Affairs, Academic Departments, the Counselling and Career Services Directorate, and other relevant administrative units.

This is in line with University regulations, which require that all grievances be fully processed through internal institutional channels before any external escalation.

Accordingly, students are advised to desist from directly reporting matters to external bodies, including the police, without first exhausting the University’s internal processes, except in situations that involve immediate threats to life, safety, or criminal emergencies.

The University remains committed to ensuring that all student concerns are addressed promptly, fairly, and confidentially through the appropriate structures.

Students are encouraged to cooperate fully with these procedures in the interest of order, fairness, and institutional integrity.

We look forward to witnessing your contributions to the University’s legacy. Welcome to this exciting new chapter.
