SOME ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES IN CENTRAL UNIVERSITY

Effective 1st March, 2022, a number of administrative changes become operational across various departments and directorates in the university.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bill Puplampu announced during his recent address to Convocation on the 28th of February that the following reshuffling of personnel was to achieve some specific strategic growth goals within the institution.

Professor Clara Korkor Fayorsey who was the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) now heads the School of Graduate Studies and Research as Dean and the former Dean, Professor Adusei Jumah moves to the newly created department of Economics and Development Studies at FASS. The FASS now has three departments namely the departments of Communication and Media Studies, the department of Social Sciences and the department of Economics and Development Studies. A fourth department, the department of Education and Theology will soon be added. Dr. Ransford Antwi is the acting Dean of the FASS and is expected among other things to drive the agenda of growing the department of Communication and Media Studies into a School.

The finance directorate is now headed by Mrs. Lily Nutakor as Acting Finance Director and Mrs. Ruth Afful is Acting Director of the Academic and Students’ Affairs Directorate. Mrs. Stella Etse heads the newly created Career Counselling and Guidance Unit.
