MR. KOFI FRIMPONG

Kofi Frimpong adopts a passionate research-led approach to his teaching at the Department of Management and Public Administration at the Central University Business School. He has a strong background in the design and management of supply chains, research and analytical skills. He holds BSc Administration from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds two Master’s degrees in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from KNUST; Project and Strategic Management from PGSM. This diversity in his background positions him as a transdisciplinary academic. In this regard, he brings this distinctiveness to bear in his teaching and research activities at the University.


His teaching philosophy focuses on student-activated learning, which engenders students’ active involvement in the teaching and learning process.  He combines the novel approaches of Research-Based Teaching and Problem-Based Learning effectively. His areas of expertise include supply chain and logistics management, procurement and inventory management, strategic management, operation and marketing management.

His professional experience spans across the NGOs and Academia. Frimpong areas of research interests include Quantity Management, Project Management, Service Management, Operation Management and Marketing Management.

He serves or has served on a number of committees and boards at the university and organizations.
In addition to his teaching, research and extension activities at the Central University, Frimpong provides consultancy services for many Small and Medium Enterprises, including local and international organizations.
