MR. GEORGE OFOSU OTI

Brief biographical introduction: George Ofosu Oti has a deep love for social work practice, education and research. He has practice experience in medical social work in Ghana, and in vocational rehabilitation and mental health in Norway. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Philosophy degree in Social Work from the University of Ghana. During his master’s studies, he was an exchange student at UiT Norges arktiske universitet in Harstad, Norway. George’s teaching is in the area of direct practice (social work practice/field practicum, working with individuals and families), social work and social welfare policy, and project planning, management and evaluation.

Research interests: George has a wide range of scholarly and research interests with an orientation towards social work practice, social work education, indigenous and emerging cultures, medical social work, mental health, gerontology, and child, youth and family studies.
