DR. JOSIAH DE-GRAFT QUANSAH-AG. DEAN

Dr Josiah De-Graft Quansah is an academic with a wide range of research interests. He has previously worked in the United Kingdom, specifically Clifford Chance LLP a Magic Circle Law Firm in the UK, Goldman Sachs Investment Bank (UK); KPMG (UK); Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP (UK), Norton Rose LLP (UK) just to name but a few.

He possesses a doctorate degree in International Banking and Finance Law from Leeds University. His doctoral thesis is titled: Capital Adequacy under Basel 3: Its Implications for large Commercial Banks in Ghana and Kenya.

Dr De-Graft Quansah, also holds three masters degreesi.e. LLM in International Commercial Law from Liverpool John Moore University (UK); LLM in International Banking & Finance Law from Leeds University (UK) and LLM in Oil & Gas Law from Reading University (UK). The title of his thesis for each of the LLM law programmes are as follows:

LLM International Commercial Law – Thesis title: Corporate Governance: Its Role and Importance in Ghana;

LLM International Banking & Finance Law – Thesis title: Deposit Insurance: Developing a Framework for Ghana;

LLM Oil & Gas Law – Thesis title: Ghana’s Maritime Boundary Delimitation Dispute with Ivory Coast.

Dr De-Graft Quansah joined Central University Law Faculty in September 2016 and currently teaches Intellectual Property Law and Natural Resources Law at the Mateheko and Miotso Campuses respectively. He is the acting Dean of the Faculty of Law.
