MR. JOHN ANTWI APENTENG

Profile

Pharmacist Apenteng is a practicing pharmacist, academician, and researcher with over 12 years of professional experience. He has taught and served as a preceptor to many practicing pharmacists in Ghana, contributing significantly to professional training and capacity building. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and has also served several university committees, contributing to academic planning, policy development, and institutional growth.

He has a strong passion for skills development, particularly in pharmaceutical manufacturing. His teaching areas include pharmaceutical microbiology, immunology, clinical immunology, chemotherapeutics, molecular biology and biotechnology, and public health pharmacy. His specialty lies in antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, and infectious diseases.

Pharmacist Apenteng has expertise in curriculum development and has published widely in reputable academic journals. He has presented at numerous conferences and has participated in seminars and workshops as a lead expert. Beyond his professional life, he is a devoted family man and a committed church worker.
