MR. JAMES ANANI KOFI AMEZI

Mr. Anani Amezi is a pioneer staff of Central University (CU) who has seen action in all departments of CU since its inception. At various times, he has worked in the Library, Exams Unit, Admissions Office, Finance Office, Stores, School Fees Scheduling and Billing, IT Department, and as an Adjunct Lecturer. Central University is reputed to be the first university in Ghana to computerise their Library open public access catalogue (OPAC) in 1998 through a software developed by a team led by Mr. Amezi. He also designed and developed the computerised classification broadsheet system that was used to graduate the first batch of CU students. And for seven (7) years, that system was used until it was replaced by a different one. He has also led various teams at various times to develop different software for other departments and units of CU.

He is a Senior Assistant Registrar in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Directorate since September 2022. He holds a Diploma in Programming (IMIS), BSc Admin (Accounting Option), and a MSc in Information Technology. He is an Adjunct Lecturer teaching IT-related courses to Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Health, Physician Assistant, and ATHE IT students.

He is a member of the Association of Education and Instructional Technologists, Ghana (AEITG), Information Technology Association of Ghana (ITAG), and the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS). He has a passion for youth mentoring, career development, and counselling. Mr Anani Amezi is also a preacher of the Gospel of Christ.

  6. Mobile Apps Development (Android, Java, Kotlin)
  7. Computer Applications in Business (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Project)
  8. Cyber Security/Secure Systems
  9. Cloud Computing (AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  10. Blogging and commenting on social issues
