
Central University is pleased to announce the Investiture Ceremony of Professor Samuel Kwasi Dartey-Baah as the new Vice-Chancellor of Central University. This special event is scheduled to take place as follows:

This momentous occasion marks a new chapter in the history of Central University as we formally induct into office a distinguished academic, visionary leader, and accomplished professional whose career spans the fields of engineering, leadership, and organisational development.
Professor Samuel Kwasi Dartey-Baah, who assumed office on 1st September 2025, brings to the role over two decades of academic and professional excellence, leadership experience, and a firm commitment to the values of faith,integrity,and excellence that define Central University.
A seasoned academic and internationally recognised leadership scholar, Professor Dartey-Baah brings to Central University a rich blend of experience in engineering, business, and higher education leadership. He holds three doctoral degrees in Leadership and Human Resource Development, Business Management and Administration, and is widely known for his groundbreaking Transfor-sactional Leadership Theory. He has authored over 70 publications and played significant roles in both academic and professional circles, including at the University of Ghana, where he served as Head of Department and Director of Institutional Advancement.
He has previously held key academic and administrative positions at the University of Ghana, including Director of Institutional Advancement and Head of the Department of Organisation and Human Resource Management at the University of Ghana Business School. His professional journey also includes leadership roles in consultancy firms in the UK and significant contributions to national development through his involvement with engineering, salary reforms, and strategic planning bodies in Ghana.
Beyond academia, Professor Dartey-Baah is a servant-leader with a strong commitment to mentoring, innovation, and community development.
