JOB PURPOSE
 Overall accountability for Human Capital strategy and execution, people development, performance culture, business productivity and profitability and the achievement of general development objectives of the business and its long-term viability
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
 Design and implement an effective Human Capital architecture in keeping with the organization’s vision, mission, and values and in alignment with the corporate strategy.
 Translate Human Capital development plans into operational outcomes covering recruitment, promotion, employee movement and any other relevant activity.
 Initiate and execute appropriate training programs and skills development schemes for employees
 Design and execute cost-effective group and individual learning processes that enhance relevant skills and knowledge necessary for business success.
 Provide thought leadership on Human Capital management issues, including succession planning, job evaluation, performance management reward and recognition.
 Set and agree clearly defined job objectives /targets with direct reports and monitor achievements on a regular basis providing guidance and direction as appropriate.
 Drive effective team engagement strategies and activities to ensure high morale and retention of team members.
 Prepare and present timely reports as and when required.
 Ensure that business operates in accordance with internal policies and procedures as well as relevant laws of the land and abide by all statutory obligations.
 Ensure the Human Capital unit is audit compliant
 Provide leadership in embedding a corporate culture that promotes teamwork, commitment, productivity and growth throughout the business.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION
Minimum Education & Experience:
 A recognized university degree or equivalent professional qualification in management, coupled with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a management position.
 A professional qualification is desirable.
