
Management of the University on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, welcomed a high-level delegation from GIZ, the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), and GFA Consulting as part of ongoing preparations for the implementation of a Competency-Based Training (CBT) curriculum in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Process Technology under the EU-funded Pharmavax Project.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Samuel Kwasi Dartey-Baah, together with the Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Stephen Abbey Mickson, the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Professor Raymond Tetteh, and other faculty members of the School of Pharmacy, received the delegation. Also present was the Director of Compliance and Quality Assurance, Ms. Veronica Dekoladenu, who joined discussions on the university’s readiness for this strategic collaboration.
The visiting team undertook a comprehensive tour of the University’s laboratories and related teaching facilities. The assessment focused on infrastructure, equipment, and operational capacity needed to support the rollout of the new CBT curriculum. The delegation commended the university for its commitment to academic excellence and its continuous investment in modern training facilities.
This partnership represents a significant milestone in Central University’s mission to deliver innovative, industry-responsive education. By working closely with national and international partners through projects such as Pharmavax, the University is strengthening its role in advancing pharmaceutical and health sciences training in Ghana.
