Students applying or recommended for financial aid are invited for a brief interaction with the Coordinator, Counselling Services. This is followed by investigations covering the following areas:
(a). Academic performance/Class Attendance
(b). Fees payment record
(c ). Family background and economic status
(d). Moral Conduct – hostel and lectures
If the above are found to be satisfactory, the applicant attends a brief interactive interview with a panel comprising the following:
1. Director, Counselling and Career Services or his/her representative
2. Director, Finance or his/her representative
3. Dean of Students
4. Dean of Faculty/or Head of Department
Successful applicants are subsequently recommended to the Scholarship Committee for assistance.
Please Note: Students who request for financial assistance at the onset of examinations or during examinations may not receive the necessary support because a minimum of four weeks is required to carry out the necessary investigations.
