PROFESSOR EVANS SOKRO

Professor Evans Sokro is an Associate professor of Human Resource Management and Ag. Dean of the Central Business School. He holds a PhD in International Human Resource Management from Federation University Australia, MPhil HRM and BA Psychological and Sociology, all from the University of Ghana, Legon. He was a recipient of the Federation University Australia postgraduate research scholarship and a special overseas student scholarship award in 2014. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana. Professor Sokro has taught various courses in Management and Human Resource at both graduate and undergraduate levels at the Central University, Methodist University and Federation University Australia. His teaching interests include Organisational Behaviour, International Human Resource Management, Strategic Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Training and Development and Change Management. He has also supervised several MBA Dissertations and Undergraduate research projects.

He is the External Examiner for Heritage Christian University, External Examiner of PhD Thesis for Madras University and Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies, India. He has also served as External Assessor for Promotion for Ghana Communication Technology University and External Assessor for Promotion of Non-Research Senior Members for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research.  

Prof. Sokro  is an Editorial Board Member for SN Social Sciences and a reviewer for international peer review journals including the International Journal of Cross Cultural Management, International Journal of Educational Management, Social Sciences and Humanities Open, Journal of Applied Research in Higher in Education, African Journal of Economic and Management Studies and SN Social Sciences. He also serves on several committees at Central University. His research interests include expatriation in sub-Saharan Africa, organisational culture and values, psychosocial risk, leadership and work engagement. He has published in peer review journals and has presented papers at several conferences both locally and internationally..
