Dr. Virtue Fiawokome De-Gaulle is a public health professional and lecturer with expertise in social and behavioural sciences, health systems, infectious diseases, and health promotion. She is skilled in qualitative and mixed-methods research, with work focusing on malaria in pregnancy, neglected tropical diseases, and health system strengthening in sub-Saharan Africa. She has led multidisciplinary, multi-country research projects, secured competitive grants, and published widely in peer-reviewed journals. The African Research Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (ARNTD) Junior Researchers Grant, 2022. This was a USAID-funded grant through the ARNTD. The grant funded a study titled ‘Ivermectin-based Community Mass Treatment: Perspectives for accelerating the soil-transmitted helminths elimination in Cameroon and Ghana’.
