DR. MRS CHRISTINA OSEI ASARE

Dr. (Mrs.) Christina Osei-Asare is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutics and the interim Dean at Central University’s School of Pharmacy (Miotso Campus). She graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with a Bachelor of Pharmacy, MPhil and PhD in Pharmaceutics. She is a licensed Pharmacist and a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana. At Central University, she imparts knowledge on both theoretical and practical topics in Dispensing, Physical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacy Management, Social Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy Practice, and Industrial Pharmacy. She has supervised the pharmaceutics research projects of numerous undergraduate students and has several publications in conference proceedings and peer-reviewed journals. Christina is an adjunct lecturer at the Ghana College of Pharmacists Pharmaceutical Production and Quality Assurance membership update programme and a fellow of the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars’ Programme. She has substantial experience mentoring students and is passionate about fostering God-centered values in the development of ethical, outstanding, and transformational pharmacists, as an adept lecturer and professional.

Research Interest:

Dr. Osei-Asare’s primary research interests include the standardisation and use of natural agents as pharmaceutical active ingredients and excipients in drug formulation and quality control, as well as post-market quality surveillance of commercially available medications.
