Dr. Dorcas A. Teiko


Profile

Dr. Dorcas A. Teiko is a dedicated pharmacologist and molecular scientist with expertise in neuroprotective drug discovery. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmacology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. As a Lecturer in Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Dr. Teiko has experience in university teaching, student mentorship, and innovative research.

Her research experience at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research equips her to apply modern techniques to evaluate the safety and efficacy of novel medicinal agents. She is proficient in data analysis using SPSS, GraphPad Prism and has expertise in in silico drug visualization using PyMOL. Her research interests focus on drug discovery and neuropharmacology aiming to develop safer, effective and affordable neurological treatments.
