CU AND UNIVERSITY OF SEYCHELLES EXPLORE COLLABORATIVE OPPORTUNITIES

On 25 March 2025, a delegation from the University of Seychelles (UniSey), led by Vice-Chancellor Ms. Joëlle Perreau, paid an institutional visit to Central University to learn about its academic offerings and operations. Accompanying the UniSey Vice-Chancellor were Dr. Justin Zelime, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sustainable Development; Mr. Shaun Berlouis, Director of Finance and Business Development; and Ms. Dolivette Chang-Ko, Director of Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement.

The meeting, chaired by Central University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Abenney-Mickson, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, explored potential collaborations between the two institutions. Discussions focused on opportunities for partnership in teaching and learning, research, and exchange programs for both staff and students. It is worth noting both universities align on the value of faith and its place in the offer of higher education and training. 

Also in attendance were the Registrar, Mrs. Lily Nutakor; Head of the International Programmes Office (IPO), Dr. Kingsford Mireku Kissi; Mr. Evans Adu-Gyamfi from the Corporate Affairs and Public Relations Directorate; Ps. Reindorf Owusu Bempah of IPO; and Mr. Paul Agyaye from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

Following the meeting, the UniSey delegation were given a guided tour of the University’s main campus, Miotso, for which they were appreciative of the first-hand learning experience. The deliberations were productive, laying a promising foundation for future collaborations between Central University and University of Seychelles.
