JOB PURPOSE:The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) will lead the development and implementation of the organization’s technical strategy. The role involves overseeing the design, development, and deployment of innovative technology solutions to support business objectives and drive growth. The CTO will be responsible for ensuring the technology infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with the organization’s vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical/Operations dutiesStrategic Leadership:Develop and implement the organization’s technical vision and strategy.Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.Monitor industry trends to identify emerging technologies that can drive competitive advantage.Technology Development:Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable technology solutions.Ensure robust software development practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and quality assurance.Optimize system architecture for efficiency and reliability.Infrastructure Management:Lead the development and maintenance of secure, scalable IT infrastructure.Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Team Management:Build and mentor a high-performing technical team.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Define roles, set performance objectives, and conduct regular performance reviews.Stakeholder Engagement:Act as the primary technical advisor to the CEO and board of directors.Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.Develop partnerships with vendors and technology providers.Budget and Resource Management:Develop and manage the technology budget.Ensure optimal allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives.Evaluate ROI of technology investments.

 QualificationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical leadership roles, with at least 4 years at the executive level.Proven track record of delivering large-scale technology projects.Experience working in diverse cultural and geographic settings is a plus.
