Job Title: Channel Officer or Trade Marketing Executive
Purpose of Role
The Trade Marketing Executive will support the marketing and sales teams by developing and
executing trade marketing strategies that drive brand visibility, product availability, and sales growth
across various channels.
Role & Responsibilities:

  • Trade Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement trade marketing plans to support sales
    objectives and enhance brand presence in the market.
  • Promotional Activities: Plan and execute in-store promotions, trade shows, and events to
    drive product awareness and sales.
  • POS Materials: Design and distribute point-of-sale materials, ensuring they are aligned
    with brand guidelines and effectively promote products.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze sales data to identify opportunities
    and optimize trade marketing activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and distribution teams to ensure
    alignment and effective execution of trade marketing initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of
    resources and maximizing ROI.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing activities, providing
    insights and recommendations for improvement.
    KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
  • Input to Category/Channel plans
  • Target vs. Actual performance (KPIs).
  • Timeliness and quality of pre and post evaluation of channel marketing activities
    Skills and Experience required
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in trade marketing, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Creativity: Strong creative skills with the ability to develop engaging marketing materials
    and campaigns.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing market data and sales reports to drive decisionmaking.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
    collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability
    to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and marketing software/tools.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing
    market conditions.
