In the spirit of giving and supporting deserving needy students, the Counselling and Career Services Centre (CCSC) of Central University has distributed the third batch of laptops donated to the University by iBASIS, a leading communication firm based in the US.
This presentation of laptops on Wednesday 17th April follows the week of giving campaign which called on the general public, alumni and the university community for donations and contributions to CUcare – Central University’s Student Care and Emergency Response Fund.
Speaking at the brief presentation ceremony, Mrs. Stella Etse, Ag. Director for CCSC, entreated the beneficiaries to maximize the use of the laptops. She urged the students to “see it as a tool to assist you to learn, research, etc and not for movies and games” She further encouraged them to work towards better academic performance as the Centre will be tracking their progress following the intervention.
This third batch of donation brings to a total of 28 laptops received by the University from iBASIS.
