Central University Management Pays Courtesy Call on ICGC General Secretary

Management of Central University has paid a courtesy visit to the General Secretary of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Rev. Morris Appiah, at the Church’s Head Office in Achimota, reaffirming the strong institutional bond between the University and its founding body.

The delegation was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kwasi Dartey-Baah, together with members of the University’s Management team. The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to deepen collaboration, strengthen strategic alignment, and reinforce the shared vision that underpins the Church–University relationship.

Rev. Morris Appiah, himself an esteemed alumnus of Central University, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the University’s continued growth and commitment to excellence. Discussions during the meeting focused on strategic development, academic innovation, spiritual formation, and initiatives aimed at advancing quality Christian higher education in Ghana and beyond.

Management used the opportunity to brief the General Secretary and his team on recent institutional milestones, key academic initiatives, and forward-looking strategies designed to enhance the University’s impact. The engagement also explored avenues for enhanced partnership in areas of leadership development, values-based education, and institutional sustainability.

In his remarks, Rev. Appiah commended Management for their dedication to academic excellence, discipline, and institutional development. He encouraged continued alignment with the foundational values of integrity, excellence, and service—principles that define both the Church and the University. He further emphasized the importance of nurturing graduates who combine intellectual competence with strong Christian character.

The visit reaffirmed the enduring bond between Central University and the International Central Gospel Church, underscoring a shared commitment to raising transformational leaders equipped to serve society with integrity, faith, and professional distinction.
