Central University Management Joins CCC Kumasi for Induction of Rev. Ransford Obeng


During a three-day working visit to the Kumasi Campus, Management and staff of Central University on Sunday, April 12, 2026, joined the congregation of Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC), Kumasi, for a special induction service held in honour of Rev. Ransford Obeng.

The ceremony marked the official induction of Rev. Obeng, General Overseer of CCC and a member of the Central University Council, as Chairman of the Regional Oversight Committee of the Bible Society for the Ashanti Region. The event brought together clergy, church members, and dignitaries from across the region in a celebration of faith, leadership, and service.

The Central University delegation was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kwasi Dartey-Baah. He was accompanied by the Registrar, Mrs. Lily Martina Yeboah Nutakor; Mrs. Eunice Adu-Darko, Director for the Centre for Distance and Professional Education; Mrs. Ruth Afful, Director of Academic and Student Services; Mr. Enoch Jackson, In-Charge of Corporate Affairs and Public Relations; as well as staff from the Kumasi Campus.

The presence of the University’s leadership at the event underscored the strong relationship between Central University and CCC, which hosts the University’s Kumasi campus.

The induction of Rev. Obeng into this key regional role is widely regarded as a testament to his enduring leadership, dedication to ministry, and impactful service within both the church and the broader Christian community. His appointment is expected to further strengthen the activities of the Bible Society in the Ashanti Region, particularly in advancing its mission of making the Word of God accessible to all.
