Central University Management has held a strategic engagement with the faculty and staff of the Kumasi Campus as part of a working visit to strengthen the University’s presence in Kumasi and across the Ashanti Region.

The meeting, led by the Vice-Chancellor and supported by members of Management, provided a valuable platform for open dialogue, collaborative planning, and the exchange of ideas focused on advancing the University’s growth agenda in the region.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor underscored the importance of aligning institutional efforts with the unique opportunities within Kumasi and its surrounding communities.
“Kumasi presents us with a dynamic environment rich in culture, enterprise, and opportunity. As a University, we must be deliberate in positioning ourselves not only as an academic institution, but as a key partner in the development of this region,” he stated.

Discussions during the engagement focused on enhancing the University’s visibility, strengthening community engagement, and building strategic partnerships that respond to local needs. Faculty and staff shared insights on how the University can deepen its impact while maintaining its commitment to academic excellence.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to improving the overall student experience. Participants explored practical approaches to strengthening academic support systems, fostering a more vibrant and engaging campus life, and ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for both professional and personal success.

Reinforcing this priority, the Vice-Chancellor noted:
“Our students are at the heart of everything we do. Beyond academic excellence, we are committed to creating an environment that supports their holistic development—one that equips them with the skills, values, and confidence to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”
The engagement also reaffirmed Management’s commitment to inclusivity and continuous improvement, recognising the vital role faculty and staff play in shaping the University’s growth and long-term impact.

“The strength of Central University lies in its people. Your dedication, innovation, and commitment are essential as we work together to build a campus that reflects our shared vision of excellence,” the Vice-Chancellor added.
The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared commitment to building a vibrant, student-centered campus that embodies Central University’s standards of excellence in the Ashanti Region and beyond.
