Central Business School (CBS) was initially established as School of Business Management and Administration (SBMA) when the Central Christian College was upgraded to a University College status in 1998 and the name of the College changed to Central University College. Departments namely, Accounting and Finance, Human Resource Management and Management Studies, Marketing and Agribusiness Management were created in 2000. The name of the School was changed to Central Business School (CBS) in 2011 following the merger of the Graduate School of Business with SBMA.
The Central Business School (CBS) has remained relevant to national development by training young people to fill much-needed business, administrative and entrepreneurial positions in the country. It is committed to nurturing a vibrant academic community conducive to the study, creation and dissemination of knowledge through research, training and service. The mission, vision, philosophy and core values of the School derive from those of Central University as a whole.
