Programme Aims
The BSc Agribusiness programme was established in 1998 with the view of promoting the growth and development of agribusinesses in Ghana through human capacity building to cope with recent technological and innovative advances in the agro-industry. The programme aims to produce graduates in agribusiness with an entrepreneurial orientation
Programme Objectives
The objectives are to provide a sound grounding in agronomy, animal husbandry, economics and computer application and commerce-related courses such as economics, accounting, marketing human resource management and project management. In addition, the programme will promote the development of Agribusiness through human capacity building that enables students to understand and take advantage of recent technological and innovative advances in the agribusiness sector. Further, the programme will produce graduates who are skilled in critical observation and thinking, able to analyse agribusiness systems that produce food, fibre and agricultural products, and competent to manage agribusiness enterprises.
Target Group
The programme is designed for both regular and mature students in the public and private sectors.

Other Qualifications
In addition to the University admission requirements, candidates with the following qualifications may be admitted to level 300.
- Diploma in Agriculture and related fields.
- HND (first- or second-class, pass in related field).
The following will be admitted to level 200:
- General Certificate in Agriculture and related fields (from a recognized University)
- Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration (from a recognized University).
- Professional certificate (e.g. ICA Ghana, ACCA intermediate level etc.)
- HND (below “B” average) or HND shifting from their original programme
- Diploma in Bilingual Secretaryship.
- Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration (from a recognized University).
