Students from the Department of Finance and other departments within the Central Business School (CBS) of Central University embarked on an educational visit to the Bank of Ghana on Friday, 12th June 2026, as part of the University’s commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement.

The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the operations and strategic functions of Ghana’s Central Bank. During the engagement, students were introduced to key aspects of monetary policy implementation, banking supervision, financial regulation, and the digital transformation initiatives driving innovation within Ghana’s financial sector.

Through interactive presentations and discussions with officials of the Bank of Ghana, students deepened their understanding of the critical role the Central Bank plays in ensuring monetary stability, safeguarding the financial system, and promoting sustainable economic growth. The experience also offered valuable exposure to contemporary developments in financial technology and regulatory frameworks shaping the future of banking in Ghana.

In appreciation of the warm reception and the enriching learning experience afforded them, the students presented a citation of appreciation to the Governor of the Bank of Ghana on behalf of Central University.

The delegation was accompanied by faculty members, Prof. Gloria Clarissa Dzeha, Dr. Eunice Adu-Darko, and Dr. J. E. Tetteh, whose guidance and mentorship enhanced the academic and professional significance of the visit. Their support ensured that students were able to connect classroom theories with practical applications within the financial services industry.

Such engagements continue to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and professional perspectives required to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and technology-driven financial landscape.
