Vice-Chancellor Pays Courtesy Call on ECOWAS Resident Representative

The Vice-Chancellor of Central University, Professor Kwasi Dartey-Baah, today paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mohammed Lawan Gana at the office of the ECOWAS Commission Resident Representative.

The visit follows the recent engagement of Ambassador Gana with the University community during his visit to Central University last month as part of the University’s Industry and Innovation Week activities.

During the meeting, Professor Dartey-Baah expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Gana for honouring the University’s invitation and for taking time to interact with students during the programme. He noted that the Ambassador’s engagement provided valuable insights for students on regional integration, leadership, and opportunities within the West African sub-region.

The discussions also focused on exploring possible areas of collaboration and partnership between Central University and the ECOWAS Commission. Both leaders discussed opportunities aimed at strengthening academic development, leadership training, innovation, and regional development initiatives that will benefit students and the wider community.

The meeting further reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering strategic partnerships that contribute to education, youth empowerment, and sustainable development within the ECOWAS region.
