CU Staff Retreat: Starting the Year Together as One Family

The University held a staff retreat on Saturday, 17 January, at the Christ Temple Campus, bringing together faculty and administrative staff for a memorable gathering dubbed “Collaboration, Innovation, and Our Shared Future”. The retreat marked an important moment of reflection, renewal, and fellowship as the University community officially began the year together.

The event attracted both longstanding members of staff and newly appointed colleagues, creating an atmosphere of warmth, camaraderie, and shared purpose. It provided an opportunity for participants to reconnect, build new relationships, and strengthen the bonds that underpin the University’s collaborative culture.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Dartey-Baah, reiterated the strategic vision of the University under his leadership. He encouraged faculty and administrative staff to take active ownership of the University’s goals and to work collectively towards their achievement. His address underscored the critical role of staff commitment and teamwork in advancing the University’s mission.

Beyond the social interactions, the retreat served as a valuable platform for familiarisation and meaningful discussions on issues of common interest. Participants engaged in conversations that reinforced unity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to the University’s core values of faith, integrity, and excellence. The retreat successfully set a positive tone for the year ahead, reaffirming the University’s identity as one community working together in purpose and vision.
