ATHE LEVEL 3 DIPLOMAS
Overview
Gaining admission into a university of choice in Ghana is increasingly becoming very difficult for most SHS graduates as competition for placement gets keener. The ATHE Level 3 Diplomas bridges this gab and makes it easier for SHS leavers to access university education. The Pre-University Access Programme provides pathways for learners to pursue various undergraduate programmes in Business, Information Technology, Health and Social Care, Law, etc. at Central University (CU) and other institutions of higher learning globally. ATHE Level 3 Diplomas are regulated and awarded by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in UK and fully accredited in Ghana by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

Entry Requirements
- At least three (3) Passes in WASSCE Subjects including English Language
Progression Routes
Qualified learners can pursue various undergraduate programmes in Business, Health, Arts and Social Science, Information Technology (IT), Law at Central University and over 50 leading Universities in the UK.
Fees & Start Dates
- Payment Plan: Applicant are expected to pay 70% of the fees upfront and the 30% spread over the entire duration of the programme.
- Application Fee: GHS 100.00
Programme Start Date: The 2022/2023 Academic year starts in February 2023.
LEVEL 3 BUSINESS
Overview
ATHE Level 3 Diploma in business provides learners with an introduction to the business environment, marketing and key academic research and communication skills that are required for successful progression to higher education.

Overview
The aims of this qualification are to provide an introduction to teaching and training for those considering working in the teaching profession, delivering training as part of their role or just beginning their careers in these fields. Overview
This qualification covers key areas of management such as Leadership and Research with a wide range of optional units in areas such as Finance, HR, Marketing and Personal Development. It also provides entry to an MBA at Central University. The qualification typically takes 9 months full-time study to achieve and prepares learners for a range of careers.
ATHE LEVEL 7 DIPLOMAS (Postgraduate)
- Extended Diploma in Strategic Management

ATHE Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management
Overview
The qualification covers key areas of management such as Finance, HR, Marketing and Personal Development and prepares learners for a range of careers. It also provides entry to an MBA top-up at Central University and a range of universities in the UK and overseas. The qualification typically takes 9 months full-time study to achieve and is considered by many to be ATHE’s flagship product.
THE INSTITUTE OF COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT (ICM-UK)
Overview
This is a professional programme regulated and awarded by the Institute of Commercial Management (UK) and accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Council (GTEC), Ghana. The Center for Distance and Professional Education (CDPE), Central University is an approved center for learning and preparing students for the ICM professional examinations. This programme prepares commercial and business development staff for successful professional careers.

Applicants must meet at least one of the following admissions requirements to qualify for the ICM-UK Certificate or Diploma programme.

ICM Progression Routes
The ICM provide pathways for students to pursue various non-science undergraduate and Master’s programs at Central University’s Central Business School (CBS), Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Faculty of Law, School of Engineering and Technology etc. starting from Level 200.

MATURE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
The mature entrance examinations provide opportunity for individuals who are 25 years and above to be considered for admission into the University without the rigorous evaluation process often associated with the normal application process. Prospective applicants are required to pass all three (3) subjects (Basic Mathematics, English Language and Logic). Mature applicants are placed at Level 100.

Entry Requirements
Mature applicants are required to meet the following minimum entry requirements to gain admission;
- Applicants must be at least 25 years at the time of application
- Show proof of age using a Birth Certificate or any other legitimate proof of birth
- Pass all three (3) subjects in the Mature Entrance Examinations

WASSCE REMEDIALS
The Center for Distance and Professional Education (CDPE) also prepares Senior High Students with weak grades to take the WASSCE Remedial examinations in all core and elective subjects, in order to help gain admission to various undergraduate and Pre-university Access Programmes such as the ATHE Level 3 Diplomas. The CU/WASSCE Remedial Classes runs for approximately 10 months (December – September), during which time students are required to sit for Mock Exams (in August) prior to the main WAEC Examinations. CDPE will allow students to register at any approved Centre of their choice to sit their Nov/Dec WASSCE Remedial examinations once they have successfully completed the remedial classes.

Entry Requirements
The WASSCE Remedial classes are available for SHS students and other individuals who wish to improve upon their grades in order to meet the minimum entry requirements of various universities and institutions of higher learning.
Progression Routes
Successful candidates can apply to various universities of their choice as long as they meet the minimum entry requirements for selected programs or admitted into ATHE Level 3 Programme to prepare them to pursue the following undergraduate programmes at Central University’s Central Business School (CBS), Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASS), School of Engineering and Technology and so on starting at Level 100.
