A delegation from Central University (CU), office of the Dean of Students & Alumni Affairs and representatives of CU Alumni paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Edumoah Ekow Panyin Okyere, the Regional Minister for Central Region and proud alumnus of the University, at his office in Cape Coast on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

The delegation was led by Mr. Evans Adu-Gyamfi, University Alumni Relations Officer, who represented the Dean of Students & Alumni Affairs, Prof. Adelaide N.A. Kastner.
Hon. Edumoah warmly welcomed the delegation, expressing pride in his alma mater and his continued association with the University and the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC). He shared how the University’s Chancellor, Rev. Dr. Mensa Otabil, through his teachings and particularly his book “Buy the Future”, had transformed his life since 1995, describing it as a turning point in his personal journey.

He underscored the values of truthfulness, excellence, and God-centered living, which continue to guide his leadership. The Minister further pledged his readiness to collaborate with private institutions like Central University to address developmental needs in the Central Region, particularly through hands-on technical and vocational training initiatives.
Speaking on behalf of University Management and the Dean of Students & Alumni Affairs, Mr. Adu-Gyamfi congratulated the Minister on his appointment and commended his personal achievements. He described Hon. Edumoah’s story as an inspiration to the CU Alumni network, encouraging graduates to dream big and take on leadership roles wherever they find themselves.
As part of the visit, a citation of recognition was presented to the Minister. It read in part:
“As an alumnus of our MBA Class of 2020, you have lived out the University’s values of Faith, Integrity, and Excellence, becoming a worthy ambassador and a beacon of inspiration to students, faculty, and fellow alumni alike. We honour your achievement and celebrate your journey, as we continue to strengthen alumni engagement and mobilize collective support for the development of the University and the nation”.
Visibly moved, Hon. Edumoah expressed deep gratitude for the recognition and assured the delegation of his support for Central University’s initiatives.

The delegation included Therestella Obosu Tei-Kwabla (Vice President, CU Alumni Association), Linda Nuerkie Teye and Barimah Kwame Owusu (Office of the Dean of Students & Alumni Affairs), and Mr. Michael Turkson (alumnus, Class of 2016 and former parliamentary candidate for Mfantseman).
