Established in 2006, MSI Reproductive Choices, Ghana is an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices and
is one of the largest specialized Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) organisations in Ghana. MSI
Reproductive Choices Ghana complements the Ministry of Health and Child Care in the provision of
quality and affordable general health and SRH services in all regions of Ghana.
MSI Reproductive Choices Ghana has vacancies for passion driven, well-organised, client-oriented and
energetic individuals with the below relevant qualification/s and experience located in Accra. MSI Ghana’s
goal is to meet the needs of the underserved and improve access to the use of Family Planning (FP) and
other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services. At MSI Reproductive Choices we are

  1. CENTRE MANAGER- (Senior Midwife)
    Length of Contract: Permanent
    Location: Kasoa
    The Centre Manager is responsible for the effective functioning of assigned centre through adequate
    planning and deployment of resources: human, finance and logistics. The job holder develops centre
    work plans with his/her team, supervises, coordinates, monitors and assesses the performance of the
    centre staff to ensure quality service delivery. In addition, the role has responsibility for identifying any
    skills deficiencies and bridging the gaps through appropriate training.
    Key Responsibilities
    Partnership and Network Building
  • Build, coach, motivate and maintain highly skilled and competent centre teams and work directly
    with teams to enable them assess their performance according to set MSI/MDT standards
  • Actively support to source for new clinical team and assist the MDTM to appoint new team
    members, including new sessional teams for the centre
  • Oversee the work schedules and strengths of all staff within the centres
  • Facilitate the transfers, relief and rotation of centre team members when necessary to ensure
    that the optimum number of team members per centre is always maintained
  • Encourage a commitment to accommodating clients’ special needs such as flexibility on
    working hours, strict privacy and confidentiality to generate demand for MSIG services
  • Provide support for Centre teams managing performance problems / challenges within teams and,
    where necessary, consult with the MDT
    Centre Management, People Management and Monitoring
  • Responsible for the growth of the centre by ensuring that team members get on board in achieving
    the set targets for the centre
  • Develop regular centre work plans in collaboration with the centre teams with the objective to use
    resources in the most efficient manner and maximise results while maintaining quality
  • Monitor monthly centre results and in collaboration with the team change work plan accordingly
  • Be responsible for all logistical requirements needed for the centre and make arrangements to
    prevent unnecessary stock outs and wastage in the centre
  • Be the focal point for all centre teams, report clinical issues including major and minor incidences
    to appropriate channels and facilitate getting pragmatic solutions to minimize clinical
    complications
  • Monitor centre activities on a regular basis to ensure compliance to MSI/MDT clinical Standards
  • Collect and analyse monthly major and minor incidence reports and ensure they are compliant
    with MSI/MDT clinical requirements
  • Support MDT to manage members of the Medical team to build their capacity and
    strengthen competency and professional development
  • Support MDT to provide technical medical staff training where necessary e.g., on the job training
    through coaching etc. to centre team
  • Conduct regular team performance reviews, monitoring progress and setting objectives and feed
    back to MDT on team performance
  • Ensure the growth of the centre by leading a well-motivated team to achieve the set targets for
    the centre, both core and non-core services
    Communication
  • Maintain an updated database of key trainings/orientations offered centre teams and other
    partners
  • Keep and manage records of all centre activities including minutes of centre team’s meetings
  • Ensure formal communications with the various health partners are properly documented
  • Follow up on all client’s complaints relating to any of the MSIG services and make
    recommendations
  • Make proper use of available information systems in MSI to facilitate service delivery & trainings
  • Assist the Marketing Team with interviews relating to clinical issues to protect MSIG reputation
    About You
    To succeed in this role, you must have:
    Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Must have a recognized clinical qualification in Midwifery
  • Certified senior midwife with 5 years work experience in SRH delivery
  • At least 3-5 years post-graduation experience in a managerial/leadership position
  • Be registered with a recognized local clinical professional body in Ghana and of good standing
  • A commercial mindset to grow clinics and meet set targets
  • Has requisite experience to work with no or minimum supervision
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Work experience with an INGO will be an advantage
  • Articulate and analytical with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health delivery system in Ghana
  • Must be multi-skilled with excellent team coordination skills
  • Sympathetic to women and men seeking Family Planning, pregnancy option counselling, noncore
    and reproductive health services
  • Be able to work on own initiative and at longer periods and passionate about maternal health

  1. CENTRE MIDWIFE
    Length of Contract: Permanent
    Location: Kasoa
    The Centre Midwife will be responsible for providing high quality core MSIG clinical services in the
    assigned centre of excellence. She will be required to support the Midwife / Centre Manager to maintain
    high quality clinical service’s and to promote a congenial and professional atmosphere towards all clients.
    The Centre Midwife will report to the respective Centre Manager in the region.
    Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist to oversee the work schedules of all clinical team working within the centre.
  • Efficiently provide clinical services including long-acting family planning methods.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all clinical products and equipment
  • Promote and maintain a welcoming, friendly, professional, and efficient atmosphere towards all
    clients in the centre to ensure client satisfaction at all times.
  • Counsel and assist clients to make informed FP/SRH choices when necessary.
  • Ensure that clinical complications at service delivery points are minimized or professionally
    managed when they occur.
  • Provide core MSIG Clinical services including: IUCD, Implant insertion, MSP and MSMP.
  • Support the Centre Manager (Senior Midwife) to monitor monthly centre results and make
    appropriate recommendations to meet centre set targets.
  • Assist with all clinical trainings at the centre level.
  • Counsel and assist clients to make informed family Planning/sexual Reproductive Health
    decisions
  • Keep and manage records of all centre activities including minutes of centre team meetings
  • Assist the Centre Manager (Senior Midwife) to ensure formal communications with the various
    health partners where appropriate
  • Support with the entry of all service data into the organisation Electronic Health Record system
    and other MSIG database as required.
    About You

  • Must have a recognized clinical qualification in Midwifery.
  • Must be registered with a recognized local clinical professional body in Ghana and be of good
    Standing
  • Must have requisite experience to work with minimum supervision
    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • At least Three (3) years post-graduation experience in a Midwifery position
  • Experience of working in Sexual and Reproductive Health
  • Be well versed in Ghana Health Service clinical policies, protocols and standards
  • Excellent provider-client interaction skills
  • Work experience with Ghana Health Service and/or an INGO
  • Articulate and analytical with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health delivery system in Ghana

  1. CENTRE RECEPTIONIST
    Length of Contract: Permanent
    Location: Kasoa
    The Centre Receptionist will be responsible for assisting in providing Client Centred clinical services in
    the assigned Centre of Excellence. The job holder will be responsible for monitoring monthly client
    numbers and income generated, manages the front desk at the Centre, assists with all administrative
    and financial responsibilities (record keeping and petty cash management), stock management and
    keeps Centre records using the approved formats. She/he will also ensure that formal communications
    with the various health partners are properly documented and follows up on all clients’ complaints relating
    to any of the MSIG services are documented and recommendations made. The duties and
    responsibilities presented below may change as Centre activities evolve and expand with time.
    Key Responsibilities
    Partnership and network building
  • Encourage a commitment to accommodating clients’ special needs such as flexibility on working
    hours, strict privacy and confidentiality to generate demand for MSIG services.
  • Have a public relations and promotional role with colleagues, GHS and the general public
  • Collate and submit Centre reports to the Centre Manager timely.
  • Monitor monthly client numbers and income generated and in collaboration with the centre teams
    make appropriate recommendations to meet income to cost targets.
    Receptionist Roles
  • Manage the front desk at the Centre to promote and maintain a welcoming, friendly, professional
    and efficient atmosphere for all clients in the Centre to ensure client satisfaction at all times.
  • Assist to provide counselling on core MSIG Clinical services at the centre.
  • Receive, receipt and bank all service income in the centre on daily basis.
  • Assist with all administrative and financial responsibilities (record keeping and petty cash
    management) in the centre.
  • Professionally manage and document client complaints in the centre
  • Adequate inventory and stock management
  • Keep records in the centre using the approved formats to ensure tidy medical records and
    registers
  • Ensure that the Centre and its surroundings are kept tidy, neat and clean at all times
  • Make proper use of available information systems in MSI to facilitate service delivery & trainings
  • Assist the M/E officer with client statistics and data relating to clinical issues for analysis.
  • Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by the Centre Manager.
    Communications and Administration
  • Ensure formal communications with the various health partners are properly documented
  • Follow up on all clients complaints relating to any of the MSIG services and make
    recommendations.
    About You
    To succeed in this role, you must have:
    Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Must have at least a diploma/HND or degree
  • Basic Certificate in computer application such as Microsoft Word, excel, power point etc.
  • At least 2 years post-graduation experience working in a similar role
  • Experience of working in a clinical environment
  • Excellent provider-client interaction skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding computer skills (Microsoft Word, excel, power point).
  • Work experience with Ghana Health Service and/or an INGO will be an advantage
