CU STAFF PARTICIPATE IN ERASMUS+ INTERNATIONAL EVENT IN TURKEY

The Erasmus+ International Staff Week event held at KastamonuUniversity in Turkey between 14-18 October 2024 was a platform for international academic cooperation and exchange programmes. 

Participants from developing countries not associated with the Erasmus+ KA171 programme included 26 individuals from 17 institutions, from Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Philippines, Malaysia, Algeria, Jordan, Ukraine, China, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Ghana.

Representing Central University, and Ghana, at the Erasmus+ International Staff Week event was Pastor Reindorf Owusu-Bempah of the International Programme Office (IPO) and Mr. Kofi Frimpong, a Faculty member from the Central Business School (CBS).

“One of the most significant aspects of the Erasmus+ experience was the realization that each connection I made during this week would contribute to a growing global network… From engineering to social sciences, education, and the arts, these conversations reaffirmed the boundless possibilities for cross-disciplinary collaboration. More importantly, I was reminded that global partnerships are critical to addressing some of the most pressing issues facing education and society today. The Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility program has reinforced my belief in the power of international cooperation in higher education.” Ps. Owusu-Bempeh attested.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, Rector of the host institution, Kastamonu University, reinforced the point that continuing cooperation between institutions through academic exchange and joint projects is of great importance. Following which was presentation of certificates to the participants for their contributions during the event. 

Participants expressed their satisfaction with the hospitality and academic infrastructure of Kastamonu University and expressed their desire to establish long-term relationships with KastamonuUniversity in order to further develop the cooperation.
