DELEGATION FROM PHARMACY COUNCIL PAYS COURTESY CALL ON VICE CHANCELLOR

On Wednesday 23rd March, 2022 a delegation from the Pharmacy Council led by Professor Mahamah Duwiejua, paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bill B. Puplampu at his office at Miotso.

The team, made up of Mrs. Cynthia Mintah, Head of Education  and Mr. Albert Owiredu, a Deputy Registrar at the Council, visited to familiarise themselves with the School of Pharmacy at Central University and also to interact with students and faculty of the School.

In a brief interaction with the Vice Chancellor, the delegation stated that they were very impressed by the quality of teaching and learning at the School of Pharmacy and congratulated the Vice Chancellor and his management team for supporting the Dean, Professor Kwasi Ohemeng, to lead the school to such repute. They disclosed that interaction with many graduates of the School of Pharmacy, 15 of whom currently work at the Pharmacy Council, confirmed the high calibre of training Central University is offering its Pharmacy students.

The Vice Chancellor thanked the delegation for making time to visit and said such interaction with regulators are very helpful and should be more frequent. He was happy for the positive feedback received on the School of Pharmacy (SOP)  and stated that his vision was to make the School the best Pharmacy school in Ghana.

The delegation encouraged the university to maintain and improve the standard of excellence at the SOP and added that students from the school should be prepared and challenged to be willing to work in any part of the country.

Present at the meeting was the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Academic -Professor John Ofosu Anim, the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Professor Kwasi Ohemeng and two Heads of Department from the School, Dr. Raymond Tetteh and Mrs Christiana Osei Asare.
