CU Alumni Association New Executives Sworn into Office

The new executives of the Central University (CU) Alumni Association were sworn into office on Thursday May 16 2024 at a short ceremony held at the Christ Temple Campus (CTC).

Prof. Stephen Abenney-Mickson, the Ag. Pro Vice-Chancellor who represented Management and also administered the oath of office, in his address to the new executives emphasized the importance of leadership and dedication. He also outlined efforts being made by the University to make past students better connected and remain relevant to the University community even after their student days.

The Ag. Dean of Students and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Denise Duncan urged the new executives to work hard to improve upon the gains made by their predecessors. She added that CU is willing to continue to work closely with the association to harness the social capital within our alumni community.

The past President of the CU Alumni Association, Mr. Daniel Adjei on behalf of his team, expressed profound appreciation to all stakeholders who assisted them in diverse ways during their tenure in office. Present at the event were Mrs. Dede Odamten who served as Vice President and Rev. Dr. Alex Walker, the Treasurer.

With a sense of optimism, the new Alumni President Mr. Francis Ohene pledged, with the support of his team, to enhance the alumni network and create meaningful connections for its members.

Gracing the ceremony with their presence was the Campus Chaplain Rev. John Korsah, and Mrs. Francisca Yaba Asante, the Ag. Director of Library Services who represented the CTC Director, Mrs. Eliza Totimeh. It was moderated by Mr. Evans Adu-Gyamfi the University’s Alumni Relations Officer.
