Students are hereby informed that the Executive Committee of the Academic Board has stepped down on its regulation on programme and graduation and approved a one-year amnesty for students whose studentship had elapsed to redeem their outstanding courses during the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic years with the following criteria:
- The amnesty covers a 5-year period from the 2017/2018 to 2022/2023 academic years.
- Students with total outstanding courses above 18 credit hours do not qualify for the amnesty.
- A student who is granted amnesty will be charged a one-year school fee (relating to your programme).
- Students with fee arrears are to pay all arrears (without fee penalties) and pay one-year fee before the amnesty is granted (as indicated in 3 above).
- Examinations for any courses to be considered during the amnesty would be conducted during the two re-sit windows. Students must take advantage of these re-sit windows.
- Students with expired studentship status who have previously fulfilled all academic requirements for graduation and fall within the 5-year amnesty period should pay a one-semester fee for their programme and apply to join the 2023/2024 or 2024/2025 graduation.
- A student who wishes to apply for amnesty should write to the Director, Academic & Students Affairs Directorate to request for the amnesty and pay the requisite fees. The Faculty Board of each School/Faculty will vet and validate each request.
Thank you.
