On March 7, Central University hosted a remarkable event to commemorate International Women’s Day, held at ICGC The Lord’s Tabernacle, Abofu-Achimota. With a theme centered on “Inspiring Inclusion for Value-Based Leadership,” the event seamlessly integrated the UN’s message of “Inspiring Inclusion” with Central University’s vision of nurturing virtuous and transformational leaders.
Ms. Otwiwa Offei-Akoto, Founder of Simple Habits, graced the occasion as the Keynote Speaker, delivering insights and inspiration to all attendees. Additionally, a captivating panel discussion ensued, expertly moderated by Mrs. Selikem Acolatse Apaloo. The esteemed panelists, Prof. Adelaide Kastner, Dr. Loretta Sarpong, and Mrs. Lorrencia Adam Nkrumah, shared their expertise and perspectives on fostering inclusive leadership.
Adding a creative flair to the event, Ms. Elizabeth Ewudiwa and Ms. Rosetta Okai, both alumni of Central University, treated the audience to poignant poetry performances. Their evocative words served to enhance the atmosphere and underscore the importance of the occasion.
The IWD event was chaired by the Dean of the Central Business School, Prof. Adelaide Kastner who stepped in the stead of Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, the University’s Pro-Chancellor. The International Women’s Day celebration by Central University was also a platform for alumnae to come together, network, and rekindle old friendships while advancing benefaction for the University.
