The International Programmes Office (IPO)
The International Programmes Office – IPO was formerly known as the Centre for International Relations and Programmes – CIRP.
The International Programmes Office (IPO) is more than just an office. It’s a dedicated space designed to cater to the unique needs of our international partners. As international students, you bring a diverse and vibrant element to our university’s culture and reputation in the global higher education landscape. We are here to ensure your journey is smooth and enriching, offering a range of services tailored to your specific needs.
IPO also promotes and coordinates all University external relations, including staff and student exchange programmes and the welfare of international students. The IPO’s mandate is to project CU to the outside world as a world-class higher-learning destination for International Students.
The IPO has three components:
- International Programmes
- International Relations
- International Students’ Services.
The IPO is a beacon of inclusivity, fostering a safe and vibrant community for individuals of all backgrounds. We champion a culture of respect and understanding where all CU students collaborate in a unified community, united by our shared commitment to learning and mutual respect. We celebrate diversity in all its forms, including race, religion, nationality, socio-economic status, gender, physical and learning abilities, and age.
The IPO has organized a series of engaging activities to ensure you make the most of your Ghanaian experience. These include excursions to local cultural sites, stimulating debates on current issues, and fun games that provide valuable insights into our university, country, and culture. We believe these activities will enhance your understanding and make your time here more enjoyable and memorable.
By facing the challenge of studying and living with people with different cultural backgrounds, you will enrich yourself in a very practical way.
The IPO is headed by Dr. Kingsford Kissi Mireku and is located near the Admissions Office at the Miotso Campus, the Food Court.
