International Student Application
Central University welcomes international students for Degree, Master’s, MPHIL, certificate, and Diploma programs. This document outlines the step-by-step admission procedure for international applicants.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Step 1: Research Program Options
• Explore available undergraduate or postgraduate programmes to identify the programme that aligns with your academic and career goals. Central University

Eligibility Criteria
❖ Degree Programs: Applicants must have completed secondary education equivalent to the national high school diploma.
✓ For West African States, a student needs a WASSCE/SSCE certificate. (WASSCE candidates are to submit a scratch card number for the University to check the authenticity of their results.)
✓ For Francophone States, a student needs an original and translated copy of his/her results with an accredited translation centre in Ghana.
✓ NECO certificate needs to be evaluated by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), and the fees attached are GH¢307 (Ghana cedis) with a courier service charge.
✓ Any other certificate apart from WASSCE must be evaluated by GTEC.
❖ Master’s Programs: Applicants must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Non-Ghanaian academic credentials must go through GTEC for evaluation.
❖ Diploma Programs: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Step 2: Prepare Required Documents
• Valid passport biodata page or Identity Card.
• Certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts.
• Statement of Purpose (for Degree and Master’s programs)
• Two letters of recommendation (for Master’s programs).
Step 3: Complete the Online Application Form via Voucher System Payment
• Applicants must complete the online application form (Online Voucher Market) and createan account.
• Please pay the non-refundable application fee of GH¢ 300 via the voucher system.
• Fill out the online application form with accurate details.
• Upload all required documents as stated in step 2 (these documents must be in PDF format).
Step 4: Submit the Application
• Review all details and documents for accuracy.
• Submit the application and wait for an acknowledgment email from the admissions office.
• A FORM ONCE SUBMITTED CAN ONLY BE VIEWED BUT CANNOT BE EDITED.
Step 5: Evaluation and Admission Decision
• The Admissions Committee reviews applications based on academic qualifications and supporting documents.
• Admission decisions are communicated via email, and admission letters are issued to accepted students.
Step 6: Acceptance and Visa Processing
• Use the admission letter to apply for a student visa at the Ghanaian embassy or consulate.
• Accepted students must confirm their admission by paying the first semester’s tuition as the admission letter indicates.
• Confirm receipt of payment with the international programme office.
Step 7: Pre-Arrival, Complete Registration & Orientation
• Students must submit travel details to the International Programmes Office.
• Upon arrival, visit the International Programmes Office to complete registration.
• Attend international student orientation for academic guidance, student life, and cultural adaptation.
